The link I am attaching to this blog post is about the concept of "guanxi" (关系) - concept present also in the case study for today- which is ingrained in Chinese family firms and, more in general, in the Chinese way of doing business.
In order to serve its own puerposes and the ones of the company, the family creates important linkages, connections. This network is fundamental because when doing business it is essential to deal with trusted people.
My question is:
Do you think that the creation of these loyal and trusted bonds can turn into and constitute a competitive advantage for Chinese family firms? Why?
